Hello Blogger buddies!
I just wanted to pop on here and give you an update on my raw experiment.
Well, I have been eating alot of raw lately and I feel relatively good. Over the past week I have eaten, a dozen banana's, 6 huge sliced Brae burn Apples, several bunches of grapes, tangerines, only a few, raw nut butters, broccoli, carrots, snow pea's, romaine, tomatoes, onions, garlic, celery and pistachio's. I feel light and healthy. I have noticed a decrease in pain in my left knee and my joints are not so tender. I think that is awesome! I have been incorporating more raw for the entire month of March and I think it is a success!
I am going to continue eating more raw. I lean more towards fresh fruit than veggies, and I probably could turn into a fruititarian quite easily!
I feel it is kind of silly to take pictures of just a plate of oranges or veggies day after day, so I haven't. If you would like to see my plates, I will gladly take more pics. of my raw food. Just ask!
Sometimes I make the plates pretty even though, it is only me enjoying it, but hey, we all have to have a little happiness in our diet!
So with raw out of the way, I wanted to do something fun with all of you!
I though it would be fun if you choose what I will make for an upcoming blog! I am going to leave it up to you to pick you favorite!!!!
I will give you 5 choices and you pick what sounds the most delicious, exciting, or interesting. Tell me why this is your choice, and on Wednesday I will post what the favorite dish was with a full spread teaching you how to make it.
Your choices are:

I'm glad to hear that you are doing well on your raw diet plan so far. Do you have any books to help you along? The Raw Truth, Alive in 5: Raw Gourmet Meals in Five Minutes, and Living Cuisine are all terrific books to have on your shelf - I have them and use them from time to time. I also have Raw: The Uncook Book by Juliano, which is a lovely book, but I have never made anything from it and most likely never will. The photos are enough to just inspire me to open a book with 5 minute recipes!
The dish that I think sounds just absolutely lovely is the perogie with sauteed cabbage. It looks like it might be lower in fat than the rest of the recipes (not that I am all that cautious about my fat intake, but sometimes I really do care about that and with swimsuit season quickly approaching I need to watch that waistband!). Perogies with garlic and onion . . . . cabbage and beer bread . . . . making my mouth water!
My vote is for the mushroom lasagne. With homemade lasagne noodles if you're feeling extra spunky :)
So glad you are feeling better. I hope that raw food continues to help. :-)
I am voting for the perogies too, although the mushroom lasagna would be my second choice.

Perogie with sauteed cabbage
or...
Mushroom Lasagna
i would like to find out how to make the eggplant work in place o noodles, i am always afraid that if i use eggplant in my lasagne that they wont cook at the same speed as the other veggies.
but perogies, that sounds good. will you use white flower or wheat? there, that will be my deciding factor.
have you been to "choosing raw" she makes a lot of really good stuff.
I'd like to see the Pad Thai, or the Perogie (I think that ones more out of curiosity though, I've never heard of perogie before and I want to know what it is!)
The perogie will be made with whole wheat wonton wrappers (vegan) and it seems to be the clear winner! Next week, I will make the Lasagna with eggplant noodles!
Thank you for your cooperation!
I know you've already counted the votes, but I was going to choose perogies too! Can't wait for the recipe!
I too want to know about the Perogie Dish! Crazy how everyones votes are all lining up! For months, Jordan's been wanting to try making perogies and I have no idea how. So I really look forward to your post, Brandi! Love you! And good job for eating so much raw food lately! I am so proud of you! :)
I am glad eveyone picked perogie, it is one of my favorite things to eat! I will not spoil it for those of you who do not know what it is, but it is so simple to make, you will be amazed!! I am off to buy some fresh garlic and cabbage!!!!!
I have to check to see if I have a beer left too...lol
