My computer hates me Saturday!

This post was supposed to be full of sunshine and sea shells. With egg salad on a rye hoagie roll with an orzo pasta on the side. But my computer hates me today, so this is all I could get on it......

So here is a tiny blog of my yard and house.
This is my favorite Lilac bush...My mother bought it for me when Chris and I bought our first house. Even though it was rooted, I dug it up and brought it to our second home. And here she is!!! Chris thought she would die, but she loved me too much!!!! I love this bush! Even though my mother is gone, I can see this little bush and remember that my momma bought it just for me!

This is Russian sage, also a transplant from the old house, if Chris would quit mistaking it for a weed it would be huge by now, but he runs it over every year with the mower....

Our house! The yard needs to be mowed pretty bad, but I think it is very pretty and inviting!!!
We have about a 1/4 of an acre....
Still no garden......Chris has been very busy at work....did I mention my husband works for Tyson Foods?
I can almost hear the intake of breath from my readers......Yeah, it bites!

Especially since I wrote a letter picketing them several years ago before I learned PETA was the devil!

Ok that is about it then isn't it....
I did not make dinner tonight, as I am alone and I hate to cook for just myself...

I will have a nice post tomorrow, about food and sea shells and craft projects!!!!

Ciao Bella's!

Brandi,

I heard the gasps from here! LOL. That does explain why he eats meat.

I have a plant from my grandmother that reminds me of her too. I love that you took the bush with you.

How is Russian sage different? I have two types of sage (pineapple and variegated ) and I can't tell much of a difference flavor wise. Just wondering how this one is different.

talk to you later,
Alicia

Russian sage is ornamental and smells like, how do I say this...Umm, like cat urine? It is horrid actually, but the plant gets full and blue and is truly wonderful to look at.
I have two actually, but I could not find the other one in the weeds....lol It stalks tiny little shoots that have pale violet flowers on it. I actually do not know if it is edible, but if you could you would have to get over the smell...lol

That is to funny. Guess I don't need to look for one. LOL.

My pineapple sage get beautiful purple flowers on a long stalk. I will try to remember to take pictures when I see them. ;-)

Sorry to hear about your computer being uncooperative. :(

That lilac bush is so colorful and looks beautiful. What a lovely gift. I love that you brought it with you when you moved, and that it's still thriving, too! :) I have two different sage plants growing out back, and they are seriously so hardy, I couldn't get rid of them if I tried haha (not that I want to).

I'm looking forward to your food and crafts post!

I am honestly hopping the computer cooperates tomorrow. It was so frustrating and it took me 30 minutes to upload the three pictures on here....Sometimes it is wicked fast and then like today nothing....
I am planning on making my bagel bread pudding recipe soon...
I need to actually finish the craft project too, I painted it and dried it and never put it back together....LOL

GC, My husband works for Tyson Foods, one of the leading manufacturers for chicken in the United States, they are also one of the leading animal abusers in the US too, according to Peta. Peta, is the leading killer of animals per capita, they are also exploiters of woman and racist against obese people and meat eaters...When I was first vegan, I loved PETA, now that I have grown and learned more, I realized they have alot of skeletons in their closet.
I hope that is what you wanted to know....lol

Radioactivegan,
That stump was a huge ash tree that shaded almost our entire house. About 4 years ago there was a massive storm going on, almost tornado weather, and we heard a huge BOOM, and then crashing. The storm was so fierce that it tore the tree right down the middle and it fell over into the street.
I don't have the heart to tear out the stump, I loved the tree very much and I pla on planting something mossy there soon. :)

Can you hear me crying over here in Sacramento? Can you? That's because you're living in my house! How'd you do that? I am slowly changing the exterior of my home to look like the country home I'm supposed to be living in. It will actually be very similar to yours in, I don't know, a hundred years.
