Banana Orange Smoothies!

Hello! Happy Weekend!
I am hoping that everyone is enjoying this wonderful weather!!!

Yesterday I went grocery shopping with Chris. After we had been shopping for what seemed like hours we had finally made to Aldi's. Chris was horribly thirsty and thought he needed to get a drink. Now, Aldi is not known so much for convience, as it is for inexpensive food and I wondered if he could find a cold drink in the store. Chris found a Bolthouse smoothie over where they keep the cheese (rolls eyes). It was strawberry banana and when Chris asked me to try it, I was hesitant. But loving him as I do, I did and I was surprised....

I was surprised at how disgusting it tasted. It was sickening sweet and they laced it with apple juice. GROSS! Anyway when I got up to the cashier he asked if we had tried the drink, and I said yes, told him my opinion of it, and then proceeded to tell him how to make a healthy unsugared smoothie. I gave him my banana orange smoothie recipe.

Banana Orange Smoothie

Serves 6

3 large banana's

2 cups fresh orange juice

2 cups ice

1 cup milk of choice, I prefer almond or soy for this to make it super creamy.

Throw everything in a blender and process until smooth!

This is a delightfully smooth fresh tasting smoothie. It is not overly sweet and has just enough orange to really wake you up in the morning!
This is one of my most favorite smoothies, I hope it will be yours too!

Well look at you, telling the clerk how it is! That's good, they need to know what tastes good and what doesn't. We were at WF the other day, and they finally had a vegan pizza at their grill. They offered a slice to us. It had daiya, grapes and arugla. My kids hated it! They finally get a vegan pizza, and it's too weird for kids. Go figure. But, I didn't say anything - I should have. Your smoothie looks simple and yummy.

Good Morning Brandi,

It is crazy how sweet, salty or greasy most food is that we get out. I can't believe I used to eat things like that and considered it healthy.

I know you are busy getting ready for the wedding. I hope all is going according to schedule.

talk to you later,
Ali
