I do not remember when I started cutting our watermelons like this, but I do remember my husband telling me I was the most brilliant woman EVER!

If you cut your watermelon like this... every piece has a little handle to hold your watermelon so your fingers do not get sticky, and personally I think it tastes better this way too!

As I have yet to see watermelon cut his way anywhere on the web I am going to think I came up with this way of cutting and that I am a genius!
~
After cutting our watermelon I had 4 gallon ziplocks filled with delicious deliciousness...lol
If you cannot fathom how I cut this I will tell you!
HOW TO CUT A WATERMELON
Wash your melon really well and make sure it is organic if possible.
Cut the ends off and then slice into rounds.
Once the watermelon is cut into discs, halve the discs and cut off the sides and then slice each half into thick slices. Now you have the coolest way to eat a watermelon anywhere!

I thought I would share my squeeze Mushu, as he takes a nap over the chair in the dining room, it is exhausting doing nothing all day.....
I will easily eat 1 gallon bag of watermelon a day for breakfast or snacks throughout the day!
Hope you try this, you will love it!

thanks for that tip.
That is a great idea, why doesn't everyone do that? ;-)
Cute, cute, cute picture of Mushu. Cats are very funny creatures.
hope you are enjoying the holiday weekend,
Ali
i know six cats now that are named mushu. what does it mean?
What a great idea! I am going to try this with my next watermelon purchase:)
cool idea oh brillant woman! :)
Shear sensation, you are very welcome!
Alicia, I know right, isn't that cool???
Mushu is the weirdest cat ever, he kept nodding off and almost slipping off the chair, then he would reposition himself again and it went on and on! LOL
DD, My mother named him mushu. She found him on the side of the road, beaten up and he had an illness that was eating away his tongue and ears. She managed to save him with the help of our awesome vet and because he was such a little fighter, she named him Mushu off of Mulan, which means little dragon. When my mother died he was so sad, but since has become this awesome little dude. He is like a ragdoll cat, he is all limp and mellow. SO COOL! I don't not know the reason everyone names their cat mushu as I have never heard it before, but maybe they are just cool like my mom!
THSK- I highly recommend it, it is so neat eating it this way!
Hi Rosie! Thanks, this is one of my better idea's for sure!!! Oh, I only buy seedless also, it helps with the cutting. My oldest daughter is allergic to black seeded watermelon and it restricts her throat and her tongue puffs up. So not ok.....
Thanks for posting! I have a watermelon on the counter ready to fall victim to this =)
That is genius! No more sticky watermelon face!
