Early Morning start with thoughts of Tofu in my head!

Good Morning Bloggers! I am hoping everyone slept well.

Have you ever thought about a food so much you make up recipes in your sleep? Sadly, I am that person....LOL

Last night I went to bed with thoughts of a highly spiced baked tofu with a crunchy topping of maybe radish and cilantro......

I want something meaty and yet light, filling, but not loaded with empty calories and still be satisfying. So I am thinking...maybe a teriyaki wasabi glaze with sesame seeds over a bed of brown jasmine rice with the radish and cilantro topping.

How does that sound? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I hope every one is enjoying the Christmas break, I know we are!!!!

I think about food way too much. I also will lay awake at night thinking of recipes, but I don't recall dreaming of them, yet. I think you've got me there. I love what you were dreaming about though. You always came up with such creative dishes, probably due to your catering days. Give it a try and let us see the results!

I love wasabi but don't use it much because my hubby is not a fan. I think you need to work some pickled ginger into this dish too. I like the color and crunch from the radish. What about cucumber, carrot and or avocado?

talk to you later,
Ali

Ali, I have never liked ginger, and pickled ginger is not ok for me either. All of your other suggestions are delightful and I think I will incorporate those into a salad to go beneath it!! Yum Yum! I love when we make a meal together!!!! lol

Wow! That sounds really amazing! Props for being vegan in the midwest!

Question: do you know if it's true that men should not eat too much soy?

Hello Graduate, I have researched your question about the amount of soy a man should get. It is very rare for a man to eat too much soy, but you should be aware to stay away from GMO soy and non organic soy. Organic soy milk and organic tofu are great options for you, do not over eat tempeh and if you do eat some make sure to steam it first. Avoid tofutti brand, and any non organic convenience foods, as they will be laced with GMO tainted soy. I hope this helps. Eat close to the source, and you cannot go wrong, try to avoid excessive oil use, any soy lunchmeats, eat whole foods and you will be ok~
