A midnight snack and Peppermint tea

I bought this little bottle of hot mix veggies so I can try and duplicate it at home. If you have never had pickled hot vegetables, you are missing out. Inside of this bottle is cauliflower, carrots, jalapeno, green olive and pickles. YUM~ I love love love this!
With my little snack I thought it would be nice to make Chris and I a nice cup of peppermint tea. I found this at Wal-mart during Christmas break.
The flavor is light and it really soothes a sore throat. Sadly this is the last box they had in Wal-mart until next Christmas, it is seasonal. So we will be back to plain ol' peppermint soon.

What is your favorite late nigh snack?
What tea do you drink when you feel under the weather?

Good for you Stephanie Leah! That book will change the way you think about food forever.

I've been up reading "The Four-Day Win" by Martha Beck. It's about finding your way to "Thinner Peace" (I love that!) . . . anyway, so my first easily achievable "goal" that I'm working on is to not eat past 7:30 (I go to bed at 9:30 and I'm up at 5 am). So no midnight snacking for me! LOL

But I love the idea of very low calorie go to foods in case of an attack of the emotional eating monster. . . I've got to think of some for myself! Thanks for the inspiration.

Stephanie-
Often when I am reading a food book, I crave what I am reading. I ran all day yesterday and had no time to eat dinner, so I felt peckish..I hate when I run so late that I miss a meal. I had my snack, and then went upstairs and read the book, Salads...lol

Wendy-
I am glad that you are attempting to not eat after 7:30pm.
I try to always have dinner on the table by 5:30pm
I almost never eat after that, although I am a tea drinker into the late night.
Yesterday, we had so many errands to run I only managed lunch out. Some california rolls and a veggie stirfry.

Oh, yummy! I've never had the hot veggies, but I've had something similar by the same company that we just love: gardineira. So good!

M- It is very similar to gardineira, just chunkier.
