Hello Bloggers!How was your holidays? I hope they were wonderful! We enjoyed alot of family time and watched tons of Christmas movies together, ate too much food and basically had a blast together. Isn't it nice when you want to spend time with family!
The above picture is of a painting I found at our local goodwill store for only $13.00, what a steal right?
I just had to share it! I put it in the kitchen because I had the perfect spot over the stove. Cute huh!
For Christmas my dad sent my family all gift Certificates to Target, my favorite discount store. There I found the Ninja!

The Ninja blender is like a vita mix without the $500.00 price tag for people who do not have loads of cash laying around...lol, it was priced at $100.00, has 1000 watts of power, 6 blades and is a breeze to clean.
I bought this bad boy for smoothies and sauces, and let me tell you it is super fast and it impressed me right off. I have never had a smoothie this smooth outside of a Jamba Juice! I am sold! I highly recommend this blender, especially if you have a hard time handing over $500.00!
My very first smoothie I made was an orange, banana, strawberry smoothie. Plain and simple.The above picture is the Ninja 5 seconds in...
One minute later...Super smooth smoothie, here is what I used.
Here is the finished result, delicious and nutritious! No added sugar or fillers, just yumminess in a cup!

Healthy OJ, Banana, Strawberry Smoothie
3 banana's
1 entire pkg. frozen strawberries (this was a small bag)
2 cups high pulp orange juice and 1.5 cups of ice

I threw everything in and let it do it's thing. it reminded me of an Orange Julius, like they have in the malls.

I Have that painting too. I also got it at Goodwill but I paid $10.00 dollars for mine. I love the colors in it.

First off, what a great find in that painting! We are always at thrift stores; you can find great stuff there. Also, thank YOU for the heads up on the Ninja!!! When we're not at thrift stores, we're at Target, and I'm definitely going to be getting this after taxes this year. I have wanted a vita mix for so long but just couldn't justify the cost, with three children to care for and other expenses. Now, I can! I am very excited.

M- you will love this blender, it is super fast and affordable and what family can't use on of these bad boys! Our town has several thrift stores and 1 Goodwill, we also have a second hand shop that deals with fair trade goods. So I guess you could say we have it pretty good here! I can't wait until you get a Ninja too, you are going to love it!
